What are R&D Tax Credits?:

“R&D tax credits are a valuable government tax relief that rewards UK companies for investing in innovation. Companies that spend money developing new products, processes or services; or enhancing existing ones, may be eligible for a cash payment and/or corporation tax reduction. Whatever size or sector, if a company is taking a risk by attempting to ‘resolve scientific or technological uncertainties’ then they may be carrying out qualifying activity. R&D tax credit rates can be the equivalent of up to 33p for every £1 of qualifying expenditure. They can also be used as an alternative to innovation grants for research and development funding, or sometimes to complement them”

Agenda:

  • The basics – What is R&D
  • Why businesses should claim
  • Qualifying criteria
  • Some specifics about grants
  • Real life case studies
  • There will be plenty of opportunity for discussions with individuals to discuss their specific questions

This event is open to members and invited guests
