Last Thursday, NDMA joined other groups from the South West Manufacturing Network, and Great South West Partnership to showcase the region’s strength in manufacturing to MPs
As the second-most concentrated and highly productive manufacturing region, with a wealth of industrial diversity, The South West deserves to be recognised for its potential to support the Government’s Industrial Strategy. The event, jointly hosted by the Great South West Partnership and the South West Manufacturing Network, was attended by representatives from Cornwall Manufacturing Group (CMG), Plymouth Manufacturing Group (PMG) and North Devon Manufacturers Association, as well as Yeovil College, UCS College, Make UK and Oxford Innovation Advice.
In a Linkedin post, James Fairbairn of Great South West Partnership said;
“The highlight for me was seeing that energy carry over to the Houses of Parliament for the Great South West Manufacturing event. Standing there representing the talent from Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, and Wiltshire was a proud moment.
It’s clear to me that our strength lies in our connection. The South West Manufacturers’ Network (SWMN) is a perfect example of how local clusters are collaborating to make sure our region isn’t just heard, but is leading the national conversation.”
On behalf of NDMA, Phil Halse, Membership Coordinator said;
“pleased to represent North Devon Manufacturers Association (NDMA), alongside all the other Manufacturing Groups, to show just how strong our Manufacturing Sector is, here in the South West of England”
